Matiangi’s team to release KCSE results on this date

2017 KCSE candidates to know their fate

Reports indicate that Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi will once again steal the show by releasing KCSE results earlier than expected.

The marking of the exams which was done in 20 centers in Nairobi is complete and the results are scheduled to be released next week after briefing President Uhuru Kenyatta on the same.

This year, 615,773 sat for the exams that were done amidst challenges of floods with some examination materials destroyed in different parts of the country.

Matiangi who has been credited with curbing cheating in national exams caught many by surprise when he released the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results last month.

He has also been credited with reforming the education sector with impromptu visits to schools.

Under his leadership, Kenya has also embraced technology in education and adopted a new education system to replace 8-4-4.

Earlier on, Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) had indicated that the results would be released before the end of December.

This will be a break from the tradition in which the exam body releases the results in late January or early February.
