KNH issues new order on staff linked to botched brain surgery

They were suspended after a botched brain surgery

The Kenyatta National Hospital Board has issued a new order on the staff linked to the botched brain surgery.

The Board in its new directive revoked the suspension of 4 doctors linked to the surgery that was done on the wrong patient and invited the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board that is chaired by Prof. George Magoha for a full probe.

The Board also called on over 700 intern doctors to resume work immediately after they downed their tools in protest as one of them was suspended over the botched surgery.

The suspension of the four doctors who were on duty on the night of the surgery was announced by the suspended KNH Chief Executive Officer Lily Koros in a statement to the media.
