Confirming the incident, County Commissioner Gilbert Kitiyo said investigations have been launched into the incident to establish if the attack is linked to the Al Shabaab militia.
The killings prompted protests from locals over the slow response by security agents.
The militants on August launched a similar brutal attack in Maleli village during a midnight raid in the County killing four people.
The militia hacked to death three of the victims using machetes and burned alive another one who was inside his home.
There has been an escalation in attacks in Lamu West during the months of July and August in 2017.
A three-month curfew (between 1830hrs to 0630hrs) was imposed in Lamu County on July 9.
Al-Shabaab promised to carry out revenge after the Kenyan government deployed troops to Somalia in 2011 to fight them.
