This is the hot young lawyer defending President Uhuru

At twenty something years of age, she is defending the president in the election petition.

She is the youngest and only female advocate in Kenya to face the Supreme Court in wake of the Presidential petition that is currently ongoing and she is representing the Uhuru Kenyatta.

After four days in court and Kenyans lamenting on the lack of women in the high profile case that could easily see a change of course in the government of Kenya, Melissa Ngania made her presence known after she stated her defence during the on going presidential petition.

Other than stealing the show with her articulate and seasoned style of advocacy, Melissa left the big boys stunned on how a young lass could hold the front in the face of competition especially when it comes in the form of the renowned lawyers such as Omollo Otiende and James Orengo.

According to her resume as given by the Law Society of Kenya, the twenty something year old works for Wairegi Gatetua and Associates. She has practiced law for five years after being admitted to the bar in 2011.

In this petition Ngania is working alongside senior counsels Ahmednassir Abdullahi, Tom Macharia and Fred Ngatia representing President Uhuru against Raila Odinga’s objection of the elections 2017 results.
