Little-known details of the beautiful woman in NYS multi-billion scandal emerge

She now drives multi-million vehicles

As of yesterday only the face of Ann Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita was what remained embedded in the mind of many Kenyans.

However, a report by the Nation has revealed that hers is a story of moving from rags to riches.

Ngirita, a form four graduate, is reportedly from a humble background and together with her family they used to live in city council house before the ‘big break’.

According to a close friend, who spoke to the local daily, the family struggled in many ways that even putting food on the table was a challenge.

But after landing the NYS tender, their lives transformed dramatically.

"Some of them started living large, driving big cars and moved to the leafy Lake View Estate in outskirts of Naivasha town. For the last two years, it has been a complete metamorphosis for the family members," the Nation quoted Ngirita’s friend.

According to the friend, Ngirita’s family purchased prime plots in Naivasha worth millions of shillings.

On Thursday, Ann hit headlines as one of the suppliers who purportedly ate a piece of the Sh9 billion that is said to have been misappropriated at NYS.

Ann allegedly supplied nothing to NYS but walked away with a whopping Sh59 million.

The mother of one is said to be always in and out of the country visiting her siblings in Germany.

The family friend added that he was shocked when news of the family’s involvement in the mega corruption deal broke.

"I used to believe theirs was a legitimate business since they used to deal in cereals," the Nation quoted the friend as saying.
