Advert on Ngirita Foundation sparks controversy

Medical camp?

Controversy is rife as the infamous family linked to the multi-billion scandal at the National Youth Service (NYS) is now said to own a organization dubbed Ngirita Foundation.

This is according to an advertisement circulating widely on social media.

As per the ad, the Ngiritas will be having a free medical camp on Saturday at Mirera Primary School in Naivasha.

The two Ngiritas siblings – Ann and Jeremiah - were used as the face of the medical drive while Red Cross Society was mentioned to be one of the sponsors.

Rachel Ruto is no stranger to making bold yet elegant fashion statements, but during the state visit of the Dutch royals on March 18, 2025, it wasn’t just her outfit that stood out—it was her shoes. The Kenyan First Lady stepped out in a pair of brown suede block heels adorned with a gold emblem.

The ad made rounds on Twitter and various WhatsApp groups noting that the medical camp would be conducted ahead of a protest organized in Naivasha demanding that the NYS suspects be released on bail.

However, on Saturday morning the Red Cross Society of Kenya dismissed any involvement in the purported medical camp stating that it was fake.
