Omtatah is currently being held at Kilimani Police Station for reportedly being in contempt of court.
Omtatah has been involved in several high profile cases in court the latest being that challenging the nomination of advocate Kennedy Ogeto to the post of solicitor-general .
Omtatah argued that Mr Ogeto was handpicked by President Uhuru Kenyatta without subjecting him to a competitive process as required by law.
