The disruption of services will affect most of its subscribers.

Strategy Director Joseph Ogutu on Monday announced that Safaricom services on Wednesday will be unavailable from 9 pm to 12:30 am on Thursday.

"Other services including voice data, Mpesa and SMS will remain available," Ogutu said in a statement on Monday.

According to the company, the disruption will allow for maintenance to roll out features and enhancements for its more than 29 million Kenyan clients.

At the same time, the company also announced that it will carry out maintenance on the Safaricom Home Fibre internet from 27th March to 28th March 2018 starting from 11:59pm to 5am.
