Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has officially gazetted next week Tuesday as a public holiday.
Mr. Matiang’i stated that November 28 will be a holiday to allow the swearing in of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"It is notified for the general information of the public that, in accordance with the provisions of section 12 (3) of the Assumption of the Office of the President Act, 2012, Tuesday, the 28 November,2017, shall be a public holiday," the notice reads.
Mr Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are set to be sworn to office at the Safaricom Kasarani Stadium following their re-election in the October 26 fresh presidential polls.
