Sonko issues final order on City Hall workers

The governor has spoken

Sonko has said that he will not sack any county staff inherited from Kidero’s era, warning those found in corruption that they will not be spared.

Speaking at City Hall, Sonko said that his administration is not ready to victimize any worker on the basis of who they supported in the past General Election.

“In many countries, workers have been fired but we will not do the same here in Nairobi. Let us stop sacking workers without any mistakes” said Sonko.

He went ahead to requested others governor to stop sacking workers and respect their rights and avoid sacking them just because they did not vote for them.

“I would like to tell new governors to respect workers and their rights. I have retained that employees and even the guy who was preparing tea for the former governor is still working for me” Sonko said

However, he requested all workers to put aside their political differences since the election period is over and focus on making Nairobi a better place.
