Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has advised President Uhuru Kenyatta to disband his cabinet, a move which could rattle senior government officials.
Speaking on Sunday during an interview on KTN, Kuria opined that President should disband the cabinet due to the division that has been playing out in public.
“It will be almost impossible for the President to implement government programmes while his Cabinet is divided,” Mr Kuria stated.
“The Cabinet is the national face of Kenya. How will the President conduct Cabinet meetings amid divisions? The only permanent panacea is to disband the Cabinet,” he added.

Kuria further noted that the alleged plot to murder the Deputy President William Ruto could not enable the President to effectively run a unified government.
The Gatundu South Member of Parliament said the suspicion and tension among Cabinet secretaries are unhealthy for the country.
His sentiments come after the DCI summoned Cabinet Secretaries Peter Munya (Industrialisation), Joe Mucheru (ICT), Sicily Kariuki (Health) and James Macharia (Transport and Infrastructure) over claims of plotting to assassinate DP Ruto.

The four CSs have defended themselves against the allegations, insisting that their meetings at a city hotel were meant to discuss development in the Mt Kenya region.
CS Mucheru termed the DP’s claims as a political war against development.
