The two were among guests at a live political show that was aired on Sunday evening.
The show had gone on peacefully until after about twenty minutes when the conversation shifted to the comments made by Kuria on alleged under-development in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s backyard of Mt Kenya region.
Murathe did not mince his words as he attacked the outspoken legislator of running a malicious campaign against the President.
Personal Attacks
“Let me address this guy, this one called Moses. There is a musician who has released a song saying he is running mad,I suspect it was Moses who wrote the song and gave it to the musician to record.”
"If there is one person who has benefited from Jubilee, it is Moses. The other day he took us to Gatundu and bragged that it’s a criminal offence not to have electricity in your house. Then he is the one embarrassing the President and saying very careless statements. I want to tell him to tame his mouth,” Murathe stated before he was cut short by Kuria.
The clearly-angered legislator interjected, accusing Murathe of being a political reject who should not lecture elected leaders.
“You were rejected by Gatanga people, you should keep quiet when I am speaking, kwenda huko! (go to hell),” Kuria said as he pointed his hands at Murathe.
The former Jubilee Vice Chairman did not go slow as he went on attacking his co-guest turning the show into a shouting match.
The show’s host, Franklin Wambugu took a premature break as the two guests appeared ready to pounce at each other. The rest of the show went on smoothly.
