New Curfew hours for Nairobi beginning Saturday

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday issued Public Order Number 2 of 2021 to change the curfew hours for five counties which have since been declared "disease infected".

In a statement from State House, the President set 4:00am to 8:00pm as the new curfew hours for Nairobi, Kajiado, Kiambu, Machakos and Nakuru beginning Saturday March 27, 2021.

"The hours of the ongoing nationwide curfew are revised to commence at 8:00pm and end at 4:00am in the Zoned Area comprising of the Counties of Nairobi, Machakos, 8 Kajiado, Kiambu and Nakuru. In that regard, the rest of the country will observe curfew between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. daily, effective tomorrow, Saturday, 27th day of March, 2021," the President stated.

He went on to also revoke all curfew passes for essential service workers asking them to re-apply.
