“Raila being my brother is a biological accident” – Oburu Odinga
The utterances follows his nomination to the East Africa Legislative Assembly which he has turned down.
Speaking at a hotel in Nairobi while addressing the press, Oburu, who has announced his move to step down from the newly recommended member to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), has made ridiculously outrageous comment about his brother Raila.
“I think Raila Odinga being my brother is just a biological accident, which people should not be using against me,” he said.
He added: “Any member of our familyhas the right to vie for any position that arises.”
In the same conference, however, Oburu has exposed details about Raila Odinga’s profession, saying that by the time he joined politics as a counsellor in 1974, at a time Raila Odinga was a lecture at the University of Nairobi.
“When I joined politics as a counselor in 1974 up to 1979, that time Raila was nowhere in politics. He was still a lecturer at the University of Nairobi.” Oburu said.
Oburu Odinga has also officially made an announcement to quit politics after his 43-year-old political career.
Oburu was responding to yesterday’s majority leader Adan Duale’s utterances, hitting at a nepotism in ODM that chose Raila Odinga’s relative (Oburu) and Kalonzo Musyoka’s son Kennedy Musyoka
