ODM MPs asked to contribute Sh50,000 each to fund Imran Okoth's Kibra by-election campaigns

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) members of parliament will today hold a fundraising event in Nairobi to cater for the upcoming campaign in Kibra constituency.

Each MP has been asked to contribute a minimum of Sh50,000 in addition to participating in the campaigns for the party's candidate Imran Okoth.

The decision was agreed upon on Tuesday when party leader Raila Odinga chaired a Parliamentary Group meeting where the upcoming by-election was discussed and the candidate was officially introduced to the party legislators he hopes to join.

"Held our Parliamentary Group Meeting at County Hall, Nairobi, where we reviewed our party platform, strategy and tactics. Our Kibra candidate Hon Imran Okoth also introduced himself to our parliamentary group. He will be our newest member come November 7," an update by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed read.
