The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has nullified the Busia gubernatorial nomination results following a chaotic exercise on Friday that saw the eventual results released early on Saturday morning.

In the results announced by ODM chairman of the Busia County Elections Committee Joseph Juma, Ojaamong is said to have garnered 92,358 votes against Otuoma’s 63,752 votes.
However, Otuoma immediately rejected the results claiming that the elections were stolen.
The ODM National Elections Board headed by Judy Pareno has now ordered for a repeat exercise of the primaries on Tuesday 25th April citing massive irregularities over the same.
"The Board has noticed major irregularities in the results for the Busia gubernatorial nomination exercise which if announced as is can cause discordance among members in the County," the statement read in part.
