Four Caucasians and a Kenyan pilot have been confirmed dead in Wednesday morning's Londiani plane crash.

Witnesses who arrived at the scene were first to indicate that the five had not survived the crash.

Rift Valley Commander Edward Mwamburi confirmed the incident while indicating that his officers were on their way to the scene of the crash.

Airwing Commander Rodgers Mbithi confirmed that the aircraft had only five occupants and all the persons on board perished in the crash.

The four dead Caucasians were also confirmed to have been tourists on a trip in Kenya. Their nationalities were yet to be revealed.

Destined for Lodwar

Preliminary reports indicate that the plane had just left Maasai Mara and was en route to Lodwar with the passengers on board.
