Drama ensued on Friday evening in Mombasa after Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa clashed with ODM’s Edwin Sifuna at a public event.

Trouble started when Sifuna who was speaking on behalf of ODM party leader Raila Odinga began explaining why the Malindi MP had been expelled from the party.

A visibly angry Jumwa stormed to the podium, cutting him short and grabbing the microphone bringing the burial ceremony of Mombasa Deputy Governor Dr. William Kingi’s father to a momentary stand-still.

Jumwa demanded respect from Sifuna, insisting that she would not allow him to proceed.

The vocal Malindi MP who recently got into trouble with odm for supporting DP Ruto’s 2022 bid faulted Sifuna for politicizing the event, pointing out that they had convened to give the deceased a befitting send-off and mourn with the bereaved.

Below is the video of how the event unfolded, courtesy of KTN.

The ODM party Secretary General was forced to cut short his speech as the public witnessed what is turning to be a dramatic fallout between Jumwa who was once a staunch supporter of the party.
