The alliance which will see Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap team up with ODM was announced today as the Kibra constituency by-election heats up with political bigshots using it to gauge their strength ahead of 2022.

"We as Kamba leaders and residents are fully supporting Imran Okoth," Mutua stated.

The Machakos county boss who had accompanied Odinga on a campaign mission to meet the Kamba community living in Kibra announced that MCC would back ODM’s Imran Okoth for the seat and rallied his supporters to vote in the ODM candidate.

Mutua who is a stauch anti-corruption crusader urged Odinga to team up with Kenyatta to tame corrupt cartels frustrating the dream of a prosperous and Kenya.

"Kenyatta procures one loan to pay another and that is Kenya's current culture. The economy has deteriorated.

"Despite Odinga joining hands with Kenyatta to save Kenyans and build the nation, I would like to inform him to lead the country from the frontline and be cautious of those leaders around him who are corrupt," Mutua warned.
