The two were sent away from the school to sit for their final papers from home.

Kisii County Education Director Dr William Surgut confirmed the incident, reporting that the students were caught by security guards.

"The administration will take disciplinary action as they sit for their examinations," he stated.

Kisii Police Coordinator Benard Muli conveyed that they would be sent home because the misdemeanor did not amount to an exam irregularity.

"We have agreed that they sit their exams from home. We will present them in court once they are done with their exams and after carrying out further investigations," he told the Standard.

The police revealed that three more students had escaped arrest but were on the police watchlist.
