Details of Uhuru's sister who got a national medal on Jamhuri Day

Nyokabi is President Uhuru Kenyatta's younger sister and a prominent public figure in business and charitable organizations circles.

She is one of the directors and co-founder of the Kenyatta Trust which awards schorlarships to students from all around the country.

Nyokabi is often spotted beside First Daughter Ngina Kenyatta at philanthropic efforts and also with First Lady Margaret Kenyatta especially during Beyond Zero Campaign events.

Nyokabi Kenyatta's Personal Life

Nyokabi is married to one Muthama from Makueni County who has managed to lead an especially private life away from the glare that follows members of the First family.

She also owns an award-winning company within Kenya's horticulture business.

Nyokabi owns Manda Orchirds which is celebrated for its ingenuous display of cut flowers.

Her stakes at Sundale International Limited landed her in the middle of the famous Afya House scandal of 2016.

Sundale is owned by her cousin Kathleen Kihanya and Nyokabi was named as one of the company's directors.

President Kenyatta has come under criticism for awarding the prestigious national awards to politicians and leaving out deserving citizens such as athletics champion Eliud Kipchoge.
