Deputy President William Ruto was evidently absent at all major events where the Huduma Namba was launched on Tuesday.

DP Ruto who was allegedly scheduled to headline the event in Kakamega County was instead at his Karen office in Nairobi with diplomats from Cuba.

Pulselive.co.ke sought a comment on the matter from the DP's office and Spokesperson David Mugonyi insisted that the DP was engaged in the meeting with Ines Maria Chapman, The Vice President of the Cuban Council of State and of Ministers.

While launching the NIIMS registration in Mombasa, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga conveyed that there had been an agreement between them.

"This will help all citizens of Kenya and that is why I came to Mombasa to launch it.

"We agreed together with my brother President Uhuru that he should go to Machakos, not his home-yard in Kiambu, I have not gone to Kibera or Bondo, Kalonzo has gone to Murang'a and Mudavadi is in Kajiado.

"We also agreed that Ruto will go to Kakamega to prove that this is a national initiative and not a tribal thing," Mr Odinga stated while urging residents to sign up.
