Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday broke his long silence and sent out a special message following the death of Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze.
The Wiper Party leader, who is currently in Germany, mourned the loss of his colleague in the Wiper Party.
Musyoka eulogized Nyenze as a great leader and termed him as his personal family friend.
"In the departure of Hon. Nyenze, the Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya fraternity in particular, and Kenyans in general, have lost a great leader".
“At this most trying time for Hon. Nyenze's family and relatives, friends, the Wiper fraternity and the entire nation, I offer my heartfelt condolences to all those who were in one way or another touched by his life,” Musyoka’s statement read in part.
Nyenze, who was a close ally of the former Vice President, passed away at the Nairobi Hospital.
Musyoka has maintained a low profile in the past two weeks and has been tending to his ailing wife, Pauline Musyoka, at a German hospital.
