"Ntakuja na Kiboko" Ruto to Waititu, deputy

Why DP Ruto is unhappy

Speaking in Kikuyu town where the conflict among local leaders played out in his presence, Ruto stated that he would be forced to use a "whip" if the differences between the local leaders are not resolved.

He added that President Kenyatta had asked him to ensure things were going on smoothly in Kiambu.

“I ask all leaders from this region to work together like brothers and sisters. You should not use all your energies to bring shame," the DP said.

“I want you to remain a hardworking team. Do not bring shame to us. If you continue, I will come back with a whip. The boss asked me to ensure things are going on smoothly," Ruto stated.

Earlier on, local politicians laid bare their dirty linen as the DP watched in silence.

Woman Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba had used the podium to criticise an alcohol rehabilitation project started by area Governor Ferdinard Waititu Babayao.

When Waititu rose to speak, the crowd wildly cheered him as he confronted his critics- accusing Muchomba and Nyoro of failing to understand their constitutional duties.

"I sought the Governor's seat and I want everyone to read the constitution and do what is expected of thei position they were given. Many of these people are lganging up to replace in 2022 but I will continue doing what the people want me to do," Waititu said.
