Murkomen involved in ugly confrontation with KTN presenter

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba  Murkomen became a trending topic on Twitter on Sunday afternoon after getting into an ugly confrontation with KTN presenter Tony Gachoka.

It all started when the veteran presenter who hosts Pintblank on KTN took to Twitter, lamenting how Murkomen colluded with other leaders from Rift Vlley to steal from their own people and deny them prosperity, leading to the cancellation of Murkomen’s pet project Kimwarer dam due to massive looting.

“@kipmurkomen Uhuru cancelled this your pet project of Kimwarer Dam because of unimaginable looting; how the leadership of the rift including you can steal from their own people and deny them prosperity later to blame Mt. Kenya and our President is beyond me.” Gachoka wrote.

Murkomen responded almost immediate, engaging the Pointblank show host in a series of tweets that left no doubt that Gackoka had perhaps hit where it hurts most.

“Concentrate on attacking William Ruto at point blank. The last time you swore with all your life that UhuRuto will be jailed in Hague when did the President become yours?” Murkomen fired back.

The senate majority leader that the Kimwarer dam project was killed by powerful individuals who found one excuse after another to ground it, beginning with corruption before changing tact to dismiss the project as not viable.

“The reasons given by the purported Tech Committee(Project burial committee) have nothing to do with corruption. They are alleging that project is not viable coz there is no sufficient water etc.stop fooling urself corruption used initially as excuse didn’t work they changed tact” Murkomen added.

Netizens were quick to point out Murkomen’s active role, constantly criticizing the government over the project with some alleging that it had given him sleepless nights and urging him to come clean on any involvement in the project.
