Don't be rough on Raila -Jubilee Governor's special plea to Uhuru

Uhuru promised to deal with Opposition especially on calls to secede from Kenya.

Speaking during the Jamhuri Day celebrations at 64-Stadium in Eldoret, Mr Mandago urged President Uhuru to soften his stand on the former Prime Minister as he “postponed his swearing-in in good faith.”

"Raila called off the swearing in a good gesture and I want to ask Uhuru to give them a chance so that they can say one or two things they may have to benefit the country," the Jubilee Governor said on Tuesday.

In the run up to the August 8 polls Nasa leader Raila Odinga in his visit to Eldoret, endorsed the re-election of Mr Mandago for the second term in office.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday vowed to face unlawful plans being advanced by the Opposition which he termed as “enmity to the constitution” with a rather rigorous approach.

“We will have many presidents, even ten, but Kenya shall never be split into two or three,” President Kenyatta said in what seemed to be a response to the recent calls by Nasa leaders to secede from Kenya.
