In an explosive dossier that has been submitted before Parliament, Meshack Onyango Dehay, admits being privy to the fraudulent transactions that saw the government pay billions to acquire the land of two schools in Ruaraka.
Dehay is a former business associate of Francis Mburu Mungai who has claimed ownership of the parcels of land where Drive Inn Primary School and Ruaraka High School sit.
In the 42-page witness statement, Dahey accused Mburu of colluding with powerful government officials including Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, Education PS Belio Kipsang’ and National Lands Commission Chairman Mohamed Swazuri to fraudulently get compensation running into billions of shillings.

Onyango claims Mburu has used the Ruaraka land to mint billions of shillings since the death of its true former “owner”, Phillip Wahome who died in 2004.
Onyango alleges that Mburu through his Afrison Export Import limited and Huelands Ltd have swindled the Kenyan government over Sh3.8 billion in fraudulent claims on the Ruaraka land alone since 2012.
The businessman further alleges that Matiangi was to pocket Sh300 million, Swazuri Sh400 million, Kipsang Sh100 million and former Attorney General Githu Muigai Sh250 million.
The Senate’s PAC and PIC committees are currently investigating how the Ministry of Education paid Sh1.5 billion for the Ruaraka land whose ownership remains disputed.
However, Dahey claims that some of the senators who are members of the two committees have already been compromised after having been bribed by the masterminds of the fraud.
