Minuna Miguna discloses why British Authorities stopped him at Heathrow

In an interview published by BBC, Miguna divulged that he was blocked by authorities at Heathrow International Airport while on his global tour to meet NRM supporters across the globe.

He divulged that authorities in Kenya are keen to block him from returning to the country and communicated with British authorities to stop him at Heathrow Airport.

“In fact yesterday, they even communicated to the British authorities to stop me at Heathrow International Airport-and they actually did.

The Special Branch came to me and gave me a document which they called schedule 7 terrorism act 2000 1930-1940 telling me that the Kenyan authorities told them am a terrorist.” Miguna stated.

He further divulged that according to the communication, Kenyan authorities allege that he is”travelling all over the world to plan terrorist activities”.

The NRM general has been on a worldwide tour and is set to return to the country on 26 March 2018 after his deportation was quashed by the courts.

However, he is returning at a time when NRM and the opposition coalition is divided over Raila Odinga’s recent deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta which saw the two leaders put aside their differences and agree to work together.
