ODM senator makes rare confession, apologises to Uhuru after 2 Years

The President displayed humility on Tuesday while making his address in parliament and requested Kenyans including politicians to forgive him (Kenyatta) if he had damaged the unity of the country during last year's elections.Uhuru asks for forgiveness "And since leadership is best done, not by exhortation but by example, let me do as I have asked you to do."If there was anything I said last year that hurt or wounded you, if I damaged the unity of this country in any way, I ask you to forgive me and join me in repairing that harm,” the Head of State said.

He went ahead and shook hands with Embakasi East MP Banu Owino, who had previously abused him during campaigns and insulted him in public functions.

Moses Kajwang apologises for disrupting Kenyatta's addressKenyatta's rare act seems to have softened Kajwang's previous stand of not recognizing him as the validly elected President.Hours after the powerful speech, the Homa Bay Senator stated that his "conscience could now allow him to embrace the President."He went ahead and apologised to Kenyatta for disrupting his State of the Nation address."This was a humbling statement by @UKenyatta in Parliament today. My conscience can now allow me to embrace the President. "I also apologise for disrupting the President's State of the Nation address two years ago," Kajwang said.

Moses Kajwang kicked out of parliament in 2016 In 2016, Kajwang, was among ODM leaders who were thrown out of parliament for whistling the President while he made his State of the Nation address. Others included Tom Joseph Kajwang (Ruaraka), Gladys Wanga (Homabay), John Mbadi (Suba), Fred Outa (Nyando), Simba Arati (Dagoretti North) and Millie Odhiambo (Mbita).The MPs whistled and booed the President forcing him to cut his speech. Speaker Justin Muturi had to intervene and restore order in the house.
