Kenyans in disbelief after Sonko confirms plan to take 300 hawkers to Rwanda

Sonko's grand plan

Speaking to Pulselive.co.ke, city-county operations Chief Officer Peter Mbaya divulged that 100 people will be selected from the three group to head for the trip.

"We know these people very well, therefore, we are in the process of selecting then vetting them for the trip," he told Pulselive.co.ke on phone.

The County Government will be footing the bill for the trip meant to provide an opportunity for the hawkers, matatu and boda boda operators learn a thing or two from Rwandese.

Mr. Mbaya was unable to disclose the date of the trip and the mode of transport that the 300 people will be using.

"Only the Governor can talk about this," Mbaya told Pulselive.co.ke.

The news of the benchmarking trip caught a section of the public by surprise as they wondered how it will be paid for.
