Mr Sossion has disclosed that he is already logged at the National Assembly chambers to take the oath, which is ongoing.
“I am already at the chambers, ready to be sworn in,” he said as quoted by the Nation.
After being nominated, Mr Sossion publicly denounced the offer by ODM leader Raila Odinga on accounts that he had other engagements related to teacher’s interests in Africa.
In a gazette notice dated 25th August, 2017, the clerk of the National Assembly Michael Sialai has notified the public that Mr Sossion is a nominated ODM member of parliament to represent the workers’ interests.
Earlier, when he spoke in his home ground Bomet, Mr Sossion told off his party leader Raila Odinga to ‘give someone else the role, as he was busy fighting for the welfare of teachers among other international duties’.
“It is true that I was proposed for nomination. We are happy for the affirmation slot for workers but I propose that ODM nominates someone else,” Mr Sossion said earlier.
He added: “I take this early opportunity to thank my party leader Raila Odinga for picking me for the nomination list to Parliament, but I now want to urge him to withdraw me from the list and consider appointing another person because I have got other commitments to attend to.”
Mr Sossion’s decision to remain at Knut, where he controls a Sh1.5 billion annual budget, is expected to cool political differences at the union with his union leader Mr Mudzo Nzili.

Mr Sossion is currently planning a work boycott for teachers across the country for what he terms a massive violation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) by the employer, Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Speaking at Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu on Friday where he launched a three day workshop for representatives of various unions of people with disability, Mr Sossion said they will paralyse all third term programs, including the supervision of the national exams.
"Let Dr Fred Matiang’i know that all his third term plans are in jeopardy because of TSC behaviour. We will paralyse everything even the national examination," Mr Sossion said.
