Tension in NASA over plan to axe Kalonzo

Tension has rocked NASA after a plan to axe Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka emerged.

The revelations emerged after Wiper MPs held a meeting in Athi river led by Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana to deliberate on how they would start re-branding Kalonzo.During the meeting, a senior Wiper MP divulged that the formation of National Resistance Movement (NRM) was a plot by ODM to field Opposition leader Raila Odinga For President in 2022.

The MP, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that Wiper was not consulted by ODM during the formation of NRM adding that they were they were being sidelined in making of crucial decisions.“The formation of National Resistance Movement was at first tailored to axe Kalonzo because someone would say NRM is a different political outfit,” the MP was quoted by People Daily. Coincidentally, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo has been missing from recent NASA rallies despite Odinga affirming that he was still in the coalition. However, deputy party leader Farah Maalim and vice chairman Victor Ogeto refuted claims of squabbles in the coalition.“We are firmly in NASA. We know our objectives, which we will pursue within NASA, anything else is diversionary,” Ogeto was quoted by the Star. On the other hand, Odinga recently announced that NASA would be split into two wings: parliamentary wing and resistance movement.

The former prime minister stated that the parliamentary wing would consist of MPs and senators while the resistance wing would deal with Government disobedience.
