Uhuru’s latest plan to punish Raila over swearing-in

Uhuru's no-nonsense approach

While Kenyatta’s government has shied away from arresting Odinga, NASA leaders who are closely associated with the former Prime Minister have borne the brunt of the state harassment.

In the latest plan, President Kenyatta instructed Jubilee MPs to vote out two NASA legislators from the list of persons nominated to the powerful Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).

During a Parliamentary Group at State House, the President and his Deputy William Ruto instructed MPs to ensure that Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga and Vihiga Senator George Khaniri did not make it to PSC.

“The president was categorical that we must do everything to ensure they do not make it.”

“It is serious, the president is unhappy with the two who have been in the forefront throwing tantrums at him,” the Star quoted an anonymous Jubilee MP from Central Kenya.

Khaniri has been forwarded by Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC party while Wanga has been nominated by ODM- much to the anger of the Wiper Party.

Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party did not get any slots at the PSC but has separately forwarded the name of Borabu MP Ben Momanyi.

It is likely that Jubilee MPs will vote for Momanyi as a replacement to Wanga, during the exercise slotted for Thursday afternoon.
