Police are investigating the circumstances in which the home of Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa was broken into and a CCTV monitor stolen during a Thursday night incident.
The yet to be apprehended thugs gained entry into the legislator's home after breaking several windows, they later went to his study and switched off the house's CCTV cameras before taking away the monitor machine.
The suspected robbers attempted to pass on electronic equipment through the windows but were unsuccessful.
The later managed to break the safe but could not find any valuables as it only contained land titles.
Ichungwa stated that after they were unable to break the doors at his Kikuyu residence, the suspected thieves stole the CCTV monitor before leaving the house through the window.
