Maraga’s official reveals mistakes Uhuru and Ruto made during swearing in ceremony

The official assisted Maraga in conducting the ceremony held at Kasarani Stadium

Amadi, who was part of the Presidential Inauguration committee, confirmed that Kenyatta and Ruto’s oaths were not read out word for word, but stated that it would not be major issue.

“They skipped some words. Maybe I may not have been very clear reading the text. It happens sometimes. What matters is the signed document,” Amadi explained.

The Judiciary boss also revealed some of the detailed arrangements that had been made before the inauguration ceremony.

“We rehearsed just the day before the inauguration. We started to plan the swearing in of the president immediately after the August 8 elections, but we stopped when the matter came before the Supreme Court,” she narrated during an interview with The Nairobian.

Amadi also revealed that they had a plan B in the event that the ceremony at Kasarani was affected by an extraordinary occurrence.
