The job DP Ruto may take if he loses 2022 presidency
DP Ruto has a fallback plan
The DP is scheduled to graduate with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Plant Ecology from the University of Nairobi on December 21, 2018.
In addition to acquiring the "Dr" designation to his name, the DP will have met all the requirements needed to become a lecturer at the university.
Ruto has been in pursuit of the doctorate since 2012 and narrowly missed the 2016 graduation due to unmet requirements.
A freshly released graduation from the university, however, indicates that the DP has met the conditions set by the Commission for University Education (CUE) and the university's senate and will now graduate alongside six others.
DP Ruto's Published Work
DP Ruto's thesis is titled: ‘Influence of human activities on land use changes on environmental quality of riparian ecosystems: A case study of Saiwa Swamp watershed, Western Kenya’.
The paper was published in two renowned journals - International Journal of Research in Environmental Science and the Asian Journal of Water, Environment and Pollution.
The self-named "hustler" has a bachelor's degree in botany and zoology and a Masters in plant ecology.
Ruto will join the less than 10,000 PhD holders in the country and the estimated 370 to graduate in 2018.
The long-time politician has been vocal about his desire to become president in 2022 and has even offended a number of politicians with his frequent countrywide tours.
The DP's travels have been interpreted to be early start campaigns toward the next General Election but he insists taht he is simply doing his duty as the president's deputy.
