In December 2018, Mzee Moi's family updated the general public on his admission to the Nairobi Hospital.
At the time, the family conveyed that his doctors had recommended the extended stay at the Hospital to allow for medical tests.
They assured the public that the former President was in good health and that it was a routine check up.
