Waiguru and other Kenyans react to Uhuru and Raila’s historic Harambee House meeting
Kenyans have reacted to Uhuru and Raila’s meeting.
Addressing the press after the meeting, Odinga stated that he met with the President for the sake of healing and reconciling the country. “We must come together to scoop the water that's been sipping in or we will all sink.” Said Raila Odinga.
While Uhuru added that “We have come together to find solutions that will bind Kenyans together that will unify our country and that will give us a lifecycle that is beyond the five years we have established for ourselves. Elections come and go but Kenya remains.”
Here are reactions to this historic meeting:
What a time to be alive in Kenya when Pres. Uhuru Kenyatta & Baba Raila Odinga have agreed to reconcile the Country. Have always remained steadfast that Kenya belongs to all & no one tribe or tribes are special & no tribe or tribes are children of a lesser god ...#NewDawn4Kenya- Donald B Kipkorir
So Uhuru Kenyatta now refers to Raila Odinga as my "brother", not "Mugoroki" or "madman?" William Ruto has not called Raila choice words? And Raila has not used proverbs on Ruto and Uhuru? Has sobriety now taken over at the top political leadership ?- Saddique Shaban @SaddiqueShaban
I congratulate @UKenyatta and @RailaOdinga on their powerful gesture to working together to move Kenya forward - Governor Anne Waiguru
First in History two sitting Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga meeting at Harambee House- DzomboJr
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga coming together to unite Kenyans is the best thing to happen to Kenya in a very long time. I've never been proud of our leaders like I am right now. What's happening at Harambee House is unbelievable - Prince Gitz @iGitz_
