He will know there are men in this country - Uhuru threatens Babu Owino

President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned MP Babu Owino of dire consequences.

This is after the President disclosed that he had received information that locals of Kayole, Embakasi East, planning to vote had been threatened with violence.

Addressing an interview on Monday with all Mount Kenya FM stations, Kenyatta warned the newly elected legislator of dire consequences if any person was threatened.

“I do not want to name the area MP (Babu Owino) but let him try what he is planning and he will know there are men in this country,” he stated.

Responding to the recent insults on his family by Owino, Kenyatta noted that he was not concerned by the remarks but would not allow anyone to threaten other citizens.

“He can insult me all he wants; I have no problem with that. He should not try to visit violence on the people,” the president stated.

The former SONU leader was arrested and charged in court after insulting the President's family but was later freed.

The Head of State maintained that the Elections will go on as planned even without NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Odinga has called for countrywide demos on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the fresh presidential election.
