Uhuru's lawyer reveals worrying details about deal made with Raila

New information on Uhuru-Raila deal

President Uhuru Kenyattas lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has now come out to reveal rather worrying details about the famous deal made between the Kenyan Head of State and NASA leader Raila Odinga.

Abdullahi, who represented President Kenyatta in the two presidential petitions of 2017, claimed that his assessment of the deal suggested that it was a private agreement reached between the two Kenyan leaders.

While admitting that the finer details of the deal were only known to Kenyatta and Odinga, Abdullahi poured cold water on the idea that the handshake had anything to do with public interest.

"The handshake and what it truly entails, remains a mystery. What is certain is that it was more of a personal truce between the two leaders than anything else".

"Although we don't have the fine details of their talks. It is safe to state that Uhuru gave Raila a very good deal. The benefits and the gains he made remain a well-guarded secret," Abdullahi stated.

The comments made by the lawyer deemed to be an insider in President Kenyatta's administration further heighten speculation on the terms that led to the famous handshake.

Odinga's lawyer and close political advisor, James Orengo, previously claimed that among the conditions set by the NASA leader was the release of NRM General Miguna Miguna.

After Miguna was harassed and unceremoniously kicked out of the country for a second time, Orengo came out and publicly demanded Odinga to cancel the deal with President Kenyatta.

Odinga has remained quiet on the Miguna saga, only issuing a carefully worded statement against Interior CS Fred Matiang'i over his criticism of the Judiciary.
