Thirdly, Kenyatta established the National Emergency Response Committee on corona virus which will bring together various government officials in areas treated to management of the corona virus.

President Kenyatta further dissolved the Cabinet's Ad hoc committee on Health and Inter-ministerial Committee on Government Response to the Corona Virus Outbreak.

The President's directive is unlikely to resolve the public concern over his government's handling of the deadly virus.

Kenyans have reacted with anger to a decision made by senior government officials that allowed a plane from China to land at JKIA and its 239 passengers allowed to enter the country with the promise that they would self-quarantine.
