Uhuru angers Kenyans after transferring Health PS Muraguri to Ministry of Lands
In the unexpected action, President Kenyatta moved former Health PS Nicholas Muraguri to the ministry of Lands, a decision that was sharply criticised by Kenyans.

Muraguri’s relocation irked many following the infamous Sh50 billion Afya scandal in which he was linked to.
A section of the public noted that Kenyatta’s advisor had misled him to transfer Muraguri to a different docket despite the multibillion scam that marred the Health department.
Others opined that the Head of State was strategically placing Muraguri at the Ministry of Lands so that he could help the Jubilee administration to loot resources in the country.
At the same time, others questioned why the President could not simply dismiss the PS for investigations in the scandal.
Last month, the PS hit headlines after Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) secretary General Francis Atwoli accused him of being the main hindrance to ending the countrywide doctors strike, which lasted 100days.
Mr Atwoli claimed that Muraguri refused to attend negotiations meetings between medics and the Government, hence prolonging the industrial action that gravely affected the health sector in the country.
Muraguri was replaced by Mr Julius Koris, who previously served as the PS in Adan Mohammed’s Industry and Enterprise Development ministry.
