Upon inquiring she discovered that the young men were receiving support from her late husband.

"Yesterday I had young people come in here crying uncontrollably, whom I did not know who they are. I had never seen them. He had so many people he was taking care of. One was a Sudanese. I got confused for a moment because they were crying uncontrollably," she stated.

While acknowledging that Mr Nkaissery was helping numerous people she highlighted that: "He has always been a friend to the mighty and the lowly."

Hellen told the staff that the no-nonsense CS considered them a second family away from home.

"I have felt that I do not want to let you go without me speaking because I want to give you hope. The same way he was to you at work was the same he was the same to us as a family. You are the last family that he worked with and he cherished each opportunity he worked with you.

"He never tired, he always came feeling that there is a lot of fulfilment in his heart, that he is working with a team all over the country improving the lives of Kenyans. Now that he s not there I want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart," she said.

The widow eulogised Nkaissery as a man who served the country wholeheartedly stating that:"He left a record which we are so proud of as a family."

She finally thanked the Government for giving her husband an opportunity to serve the country adding that despite the loss the familly was standing strong.

"PS I want to tell you that you people you give my husband a wonderful opportunity to serve his country. I want you to be encouraged. We are strong. The children are okay. We are standing strong because that is what he would have wanted us to do," she said.
