Through a delegation sent to Kenya by Museveni, the Ugandan Head of State is keen to see the betting firm open offices in his country and start business.

Speaking to a local daily, Karauri confirmed that they would be heading to the neighboring country this week after meeting Ugandan Youth Minister Nakiwala Kiyingi in Nairobi.

Sources privy to the meeting, who spoke to People Daily, disclosed that Kiyingi was in Kenya with the full “with the full blessings of President Museveni who is keen to invite investors in our country.”

The invite comes after the betting firm launched its operations in Tanzania.

Sportpesa is also facing another challenge In Kenya after a new law that will see it pay 35% of its revenue.

The betting firm has already moved to court to challenge the law while arguing that it will not be able sustainable for business.

It had one point threatened to exit the Kenyan market and announced that it will be withdrawing all its sponsorship in January 2018.
