Collymore and Citizen TV boss land government jobs

Bob Collymore

Health CS Sicily Kariuki on Wednesday appointed Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore and Citizen TV Digital Content Manager Mercy Oburu, as board members of the National Cancer Institute.

Collymore and Oburu will join two other appointees namely David Makumi and Evangeline Njiru,in serving at the institute for the next three years.

The two bosses have both battled and overcome cancer cases.

The latest development comes weeks after the Safaricom boss stated that he would be leaving the mobile giant company in August.

Collymore appointed by Uhuru

In 2018, Collymore was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to a senior position in the government.

Through a gazette notice, the soft spoken Collymore was appointed member of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board.

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Group CEO Joshua Oigara also got a spot in the board.
