Drama ensued in Salgaa in Nakuru County after a middle-aged woman fainted near an ambulance while waiting for DP Ruto to land but no help was offered by the ambulance crew.
It emerged that the well-equipped vehicle belonging to the Nakuru county government were not I the vehicle, neither could they be traced to attend to the woman or rush her to hospital.
A frantic search mission was effected with locals combing the combing through Salgaa market in search of the vehicle’s driver to no avail.
Well-wishers with first aid skills moved in swiftly in a bid to save the life of the woman.
By the time of this publication, the woman was yet to receive medical attention, even as those at the rally questioned where the presence of the ambulance was merely a formality.
The DP was scheduled to tor the area and preside over a harambee in aid of 20 churches.
He arrived later on and was received by the enthusiastic crowd which cheered him on at the venue of the meeting.
His tight schedule also saw him head to Baringo County where he was cheered on as he rode on a bodaboda to the venue of the meeting.
