Ojienda lost the seat to former Independent Policing Oversight Authority (Ipoa) chairman Macharia Njeru who won in the Thursday elections.
Njeru garnered 2,738 votes to trounce Prof Tom Ojienda who was defending his seat.
Prof Ojienda got 2,545 votes in the elections carried out in 28 centres across the country.
Coveted seat
Others who contested were Irungu Gathi who got six votes while Ongoto Mongare managed 123 in the election where 10,185 lawyers were eligible to vote.
Njeru who is the managing partner at Macharia-Mwangi & Njeru Advocates will serve as a commissioner for five years.
On Wednesday, the High Court dismissed an application seeking to block Professor Tom Ojienda as the Law Society of Kenya nominee to the Judicial Service Commission.
Justice James Makau had said that the court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the petition, for which the applicant Mark Ndungu ought to have sought arbitration.
