Speaking during a public rally at the Coast, Ms Odhiambo stated that he would rather offer herself to the governor other than see President Uhuru Kenyatta be Joho's wife.

“Mombasa is for all Kenyans. When he tries to follow me around, he should first tell Likoni residents what he has done for them. Not following me around; Why does he want to follow me where I go? I am not his wife!” Kenyatta stated.

Ms Odhiambo added that she was ready to talk to her husband so that he could allow her to be Joho’s companion.

She noted that Joho was a man who had attracted the attention of countless beautiful women and had no business being the husband of another man (Kenyatta).

The Mbita MP further rebuked President Kenyatta’s over the statements noting that the Opposition would not tolerate the use of abusive language.
