Ruto’s press officer says fight against corruption being used to fight DP

Another Ruto ally terms Kinoti and Haji as drama queens

William Ruto’s aide Emmanuel Talam claims fight against corruption being used to fight DP

Deputy President William Ruto’s director of communication Emmanuel Talam on Wednesday sensationally claimed that the fight against corruption was being used to fight the DP.

Talam took to Twitter, just hours after it emerged that Ruto’s chief of staff Ken Osinde was a director of a company that benefited from the Sh63 billion irregular tended for construction of two dams in Kerio Valley.

It's time to separate the fight against William Ruto from the fight against corruption. It will save the little resources available @HonAdenDuale @OleItumbi @kipmurkomen,” Talam stated.

DCI George Kinoti is overseeing the investigation and has summoned two CSs close to the DP – Treasury’s Henry Rotich and Water’s Simon Chelugui.

Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot

The investigation has already rubbed Rutos allies the wrong way as Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot on Wednesday attacked Kinoti and DPP Noordin Haji, terming them as drama queens.

The Kericho senator called for the two officers to be replaced, claiming they had not achieved anything apart from getting media attention.

For us to win this war on corruption we need to hire an extra DPP and DCI. Competent ones who can prosecute their cases in courts. The current drama queens can be left to run the war on headlines and S. Media, there they do really well but that's just about it,” Cheruyoit stated.
