22-year-old woman arrested for husband’s bizarre murder, body recovered in a gunny bag in couple's home

22 year old Bridget Gacheri has been arrested by police over the bizzare murder of her husband whose dismembered body parts were found in a gunny bag inside the couple’s house.

Gacheri was among the first people to reported the disappearance of her 45 year old husband Joel Kaberia to police accompanied by some of his friends.

Imenti North Sub-county, Head of Directorate of Criminal Investigations James Githinji said that “We (DCI) received a case of a missing person which later turned out to be death. The wife while accompanied by the deceased's friends had reported to us that he (Kaberia) was missing”.

His disappearance was first noted by his colleagues at a slaughter house where he worked after he missed work for a week.

The concerned colleagues enquired his whereabouts with his wife (Gacheri) wh also claimed she did not know where Kaberia was.

Foul play

Suspecting foul play, Kaberia’s colleagues asked his landlord allow them to break into his house where they found his rotting body.

“We suspected something sinister and requested the landlord to allow us to break into the house. We discovered his body cut in pieces,” claimed one source.

A hacksaw suspected to have been used in committing the heinous crime was also recovered in the house.

Neighbours revealed that the two lived in constant fights prior to the murder.
